Sycon (Systems & Controls) is a group of engineers with a perfect blend of experience and enthusiasm. It has a mission to offer the latest high-end technology to the industry.

For the last 20 years, it has been serving the industry with all its technical needs in electrical system automation. Since its inception, it has provided many break-through solutions in the field of industrial control using micro-controller technology. The group has its own Research and Development laboratory where it continuously works on new product ideas as well as on the old product range to add new features to it. This gives us the advantage of being flexible enough to change the design according to the needs of customers.

As discussed earlier our core expertise is electrical engineering solutions. This is being applied to fields such as motor protection, power quality improvement (power factor, harmonics, etc.), and electrical load management.

Motor Control & Protection

We have been working in this field since last two decades and have given many solutions to the industry as well as to the society. Following are some of the various products and projects on which we have worked on.

Project Year Type Details
Motor Auto-switch 1989 Product This is an automation as well as protection device developed mainly for agricultural pump motors. This product is used to start the motor automatically with a programmed sequence when electric supply resumes. It gives protections like SPP and dry-run. This is running successfully in the market till date.
Motor Protection Relay 1991 Product This was a protection relay for the industrial motors. It gave protection against overload, SPP and dry-run. This was a product based on analog electronics.
Feed Mill Speed Control 1991 Product This was a motor speed control project developed for a cattle feed mill. Based on the load (sensed by motor current) of the mixer unit, the speed of the conveyer motor was controlled.
Dual Speed Control of Motor 1994 Product This was a motor speed control project developed for a spinning mill. Based on the dimension of the reel, the speed of the winding motor was controlled.
Automatic Changeover 1995 Product This was an automation product. Based on the load (sensed by motor current) an automation changeover from star to delta or vice versa was done.
Motor Protection Relay 1991 Product This was a protection relay for the industrial motors. It gave protection against overload, SPP and dry-run. This was a product based on analog electronics.
2004 An advanced version with computation of thermal current inverse characteristics.
2008 A more advanced version with attractive small case and more features.
Motor Soft Starter 1998 Product This motor soft starter was designed sp that it was acting as an energy saving device also.

Power Quality Improvement

Similar to motor protections, we are working in this area for last two decades. We have been successfully manufacturing various models of automatic power factor controller.Following are some of the various products/projects on which we have worked on.

1998 to till date This was the first time in India to use microprocessor technology for this application.
Automatic Power Factor Controller 1995 Product This was a motor speed control project developed for a cattle feed mill. Based on the load (sensed by motor current) of the mixer unit, the speed of the conveyer motor was controlled.
Static VAR Compensator 2007 Product This was a motor speed control project developed for a cattle feed mill. Based on the load (sensed by motor current) of the mixer unit, the speed of the conveyer motor was controlled.
Active Harmonic Filter 2008 Product This was an academic project (Bachelor of Engineering, Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli) guided by our experts.

Electrical Load Management

We have been successfully manufacturing various models of load/demand controllers since last 10 years.Following are some of the various products/projects on which we have worked on.

Maximum KVA/KW Demand Controller 2000 to till date Product This is automation product, running successfully in many industries and saving thousands of rupees. It controls the KVA or KW demand so that it does not exceed the demand allotted by the electricity board. This saves the penalty which one must give to electricity board if it fetches extra KVA/KW than allotted by electricity board.
2006 Another version of KVA demand controller with Time of Day (ToD) facility.
2008 Another version of KVA demand controller with predicted demand facility.
