SYCON Earth Fault Relays
SYCON Earth Fault Relays for detecting earth fault current by sensing residual current in electrical systems.

Product Range
Earth Fault Protection
SYCON Earth Fault Relays detect earth fault conditions by measuring residual current through the neutral. In a three-phase system, the vector sum of the three-phase currents is normally zero. When a ground fault occurs, the vector sum becomes non-zero and residual current flows from neutral to earth. The relay senses this current and compares it with the set point to detect an earth fault.
